Spicy Margarita

A bold, sun-kissed classic, elevated with a kick of jalapeño and a honey-Tajín rim. Perfect for festive summer dinners.

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 jalapeño pepper, sliced, plus more slices for garnish

  • 6 oz blanco tequila

  • 4 oz orange liqueur (such as Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or triple sec)

  • 2 oz lime juice

  • 2 oz margarita mix

  • Honey, for rimming

  • Tajín, for rimming

  • Dried lime wheels for garnish

Instructions

  • Rim the glasses: Dip the rim of each glass into honey, then into a shallow plate of Tajín to coat. Fill glasses with ice.

  • Muddle: In a cocktail shaker or pitcher, muddle the sliced jalapeño.

  • Shake or Stir: Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and margarita mix. Shake over ice in a cocktail shaker, or stir over ice in a pitcher

  • Serve: Strain into prepared glasses. Garnish with additional jalapeño slices and dehydrated lime wheels and serve immediately.
